Why do we LOVE working for A Pause for Paws, Inc.?

Love providing a “home” environment while pet parents are on vacation. It’s definitely a “family” affair at our house. Lots of attention and love from all!

We have provided in-home boarding service for A Pause for Paws since 2006. We live in a quiet neighborhood with a fenced in back yard

Why do we LOVE working for A Pause for Paws, Inc.?

Since 2006 we have cared for numerous breeds and ages of dogs from a litter of Dachshunds to Boxers and Saint Bernards!  It is like being grandparents to dogs.  We get to spoil them and then send them home!

My Interests

I love to write articles about my funnier and dramatic moments of pet sitting. I keep a journal for writing down the memorable times and can re-read them when I need a good laugh or to remember a pet who is no longer with us. I also love to draw, read, walk my dog and ride my motorcycle

Why do I LOVE working for A Pause for Paws, Inc.?

I am blessed to have a job that I can take care of many other animals and still come home to my own. I get to meet and learn about all the pets I care for (I call them “my” pets.) Each one has a nickname and a place in my heart. I know they are all well cared for and loved, so I don’t feel guilty leaving them and going home. Who could ask for a better job? I get to play with animals all day long

I have a very busy teenage daughter, Haley, who is a senior at Southwest, varsity cheerleader and dancer, who somehow finds time to work two part-time jobs and a son, Noah who is a 7th grade, pet lover & has reached Level 9 as a gymnast at Pioneer Gymnastics

Why do I LOVE working for A Pause for Paws, Inc.?

We all LOVE dogs.  Every time we bring one into our home he/she bonds with one of us and ends up sleeping in our bedrooms.  The dogs that visit become part of our family for the time they are there and then again when they return for another stay.  Walks, treats, play time, lap time, are all part of the experience.

Why do I LOVE working for A Pause for Paws, Inc.?

I have always wanted to be self employed and work with animals.  Pet Sitting is the perfect career to combine both of my passions.  Once I got started, I wanted to help as many pets as possible stay home and be comfortable when their pet parents have to be away.  That is a stressful thing and I can make it fun and relaxing for all types of pets!  I also love giving part-time jobs to people who LOVE animals and have a genuine caring spirit to those that need it most.
